The terms of using Scalcraft.

Welcome to Scalcraft. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and Scalcraft governing your access to and use of our website, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account or using the Services, you confirm that you’ve read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you’re using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to create an account. If you’re under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. If you notice unauthorized use, email security@scalcraft.com right away.

You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

We trust you to use the Services responsibly. You agree not to:

• Use the Services to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes intellectual property.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models or source code.
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or subscription tier restrictions.
• Use automated systems (scrapers, bots, crawlers) without prior written consent.
• Disrupt, degrade, or attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the Services.
• Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Services without a written agreement.
• Use the AI assistant to generate content that is unlawful, discriminatory, or deceptive.

You retain ownership of the diagrams, notes, code, blog posts, and other content you create on the Services (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display it as necessary to operate the Services.

If you choose to publish content publicly (e.g., a public blog post or shared solution), you grant other users the right to view, discuss, and share it consistent with the Services’ functionality.

You’re responsible for ensuring you have the rights to share Your Content and that it doesn’t violate anyone’s rights.

The Services include AI-powered features (Atlas, the design reviewer, the course tutor). These features produce suggestions and feedback based on your inputs.

AI output is provided “as is” and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Always verify before relying on AI output in production systems, interviews, or critical decisions.

Subject to these Terms and to the extent permitted by law, you own the output generated for you, and you’re responsible for how you use it.

The Services, including the platform, brand, logos, course materials, sample problems, and UI, are owned by Scalcraft or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and included features are described on our pricing page at the time of purchase.

• Auto-renewal — subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
• Cancellation — you can cancel any time from account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Refunds — fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact billing@scalcraft.com.
• Taxes — fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Price changes — we’ll notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price change to your plan.

We may offer free trials or promotional credits. These are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may expire. We reserve the right to modify or revoke trials and credits at any time if we suspect abuse.

You can stop using the Services or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or fail to pay amounts owed.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends immediately. Provisions that by nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution) will survive termination.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. YOU USE THE SERVICES AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCALCRAFT AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You agree to indemnify and hold Scalcraft, its officers, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of Bengaluru, India, unless your local law requires otherwise. We encourage you to contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly and informally.
